The manuscript describes the history of the pentathlon from 1912 up to and including the Berlin Olympic Games in 1936 (47 pages). In particular, the pentathlon at the 1932 and 1936 Olympic Games is described in detail. The author devotes 140 pages to contemporary training methods for the various disciplines of the pentathlon. He was one of the best Hungarian modern pentathletes and was a member of the national team from 1931 to 1939. Unfortunately, due to an injury, he did not take part in the Olympic Games in Berlin. After the Second World War, Jós went to London in 1948 as the Hungarian team captain in the modern pentathlon. He also took part in the art competitions with an epic work called Modern Pentathlon in Hungarian, published in 1945. The non-fiction book "Modern Pentathlon" was never published! Condition: C
